Join us October 10th at Summit’s Brier Creek Campus for Behavior 101 - where Sonia Martin w/ Lifeline Children Services will discuss what trauma is and how it affects the brain and behavior. This training will help us understand what is happening physiologically when a child seems to have uncontrollable melt downs/tantrums or and how caregivers can intervene to help that child respond appropriately. Sonia will also discuss 6 Typical Trauma Behaviors and will provide practical strategies to caregivers for reducing negative behavior and to assist children in developing new behaviors.

Sonia Martin has been a guest speaker at Renew Retreat in 2021 + 2022 and was a highly loved speaker. We will watch a recording of Behavior 101 together followed by a discussion time at tables following the training.
