God is glorified when our lives demonstrate that we are abiding in him, bearing the fruit of our being united with Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:11–12 says, “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Prayers for Today:

• Ask God to help you keep your focus on his Word and his promises as you continue in prayer and fasting.
  
• Ask God to use your times of fasting to deepen your understanding and experience of abiding in him.
  
• Pray that he would make you alert to the enemy’s attempts to ensnare and discourage you.
  
• Pray that he would stir you to expect great things from him and attempt great things for him.
